Day 8 - Walking tour of Ground Zero

one piece of steel that was left standing....this cross will be moved into the new memorial center tha is being built.

this church bench was used by many firefighters...they would come and change their boots at least 5 times per day.

This church and graveyard was covered with depris from the 911 attack....the church was still standing and used as a resting location, first aid station for many. To this day there are many pictures, stories and items in the church in rememberance on that day almost 10 years ago.

Day 7 - bike ride through Central Park

Always safety first...especially in Central Park with the hundreds of runners!!!

Behind the green river is a huge area of bush and natural life...there are places in Manhattan where it can be quiet.

Day 6 - Sites of New York

Our first tourist site was the Statue of Liberty...

Tessa enjoyed every minute of the trip...minus the bag under her eyes at the end of the night!!!

Day 5 - On our way to Long Island, NY

This is the longest wooden bridge in the US and the longest 2 span bridge in the world.

Day 3 and 4 - Vermont and the pumpkin patches

We left Sherbrook, QC on Monday morning and travelled throught Vermont....awesome colors and A LOT of pumpkin patches.

Day 2 - Eastern Townships of Quebec

Sunday, Oct 10 we had Thanksgiving lunvh with a friend of Angie's....followed by a 7 klm walk in the trees...amazing views and colors.

Day 1 - Montreal City

Sheena, Angie, Tessa, Lisa and I arrived into Montreal on Saturday, Oct 9. This city is amazing....to bad we did not have more time...especially time to shop!!!

This is a "must eat at restaurant" and it was in the plan but the plans do not always work out. You eat in the dark...total darkness and you are served by blind waiters and waitress...anyways to make a long story short...we were in Montreal but our reservation was in Toronto!!!
